Team Fortress 2 Review by squishlette

Team Fortress 2 sets a brilliant stage for its signature brand of class-based multiplayer mayhem. For massively multiplayer game veterans' though' this doesn't make for a lot of choices when games like EverQuest 2 offer so many more combinations' particularly if you plan on playing multiple characters. On the other hand' there is a good variety of gameplay styles from which to choose within those limitations. Classes like the pet-handling lore-master and the stealthy burglar play much differently' and all of them have a role to play within a group of adventurers.

This game is great. I mean' everything about it is fantastic. The graphics if you ask me are one of the lowest points and really' they look great. My computer can't play it at full graphical capability but I have played it with the highest settings' on a friend's computer.

I'm not a big fan of First Person Shooters' nor am I very skilled at them. However' I am a big fan of Valve games. This product is nothing less than I would expect from this exceptional developer. Not only is this a balanced multiplayer (something that plagues most online games) but it is immensely fun for everyone. Players can choose between nine different classes' each with their own personality and play style. With the new class updates valve puts out every few months' this is a game you won't be able to escape for awhile.

This is a game that I had bought probably a year or two after its release' I had not played Team fortress Classic' and i thought that Cartoon Games were rather dumb. Then a friend persuaded me into giving it a try' so I bought the game at 50% off on a winter deal and haven't stopped playing it' accumulating around 40 hours game play in the first week I bought it. Its got great team based play' its rather fast paced' and there are plenty of nooks and crannies for each class that it will have you playing for months - years to come.

Team Fortress 2 is a game that spent 9 years in development and is worth every day of it. It is a perfect example of how art and graphics can symbiotically enhance gameplay' and incredibly fun to boot. The game has 9 classes' each with their own style of play and character. Each class is absolutely useful' with each having their own strengths and weaknesses' leaving the game (mostly) balanced. When flaws in the game's balance present themselves' Valve will provide updates to fix them. Valve are still adding to the game and likely will be for a very long time.

I played the original Team Fortress on the Quake 1 engine when I was really young. I loved the classes and played it a lot. For me Half Life was all about TFC. In fact instead of playing HL when I first installed it I played TFC first. I absolutely loved being a spy and the cleverness that you have to have to play it. It wasn't until after that I even played CS. So Team Fortress is one of my very first FPS games that I got hooked on(after Q1 CTF). I've been waiting for TF2 for years and years to come out and now that it finally has what do I think of it?
